Me Again

Me Again

If you work with me, you're probably thinking: "What??! Why does Susanna have another blog?"

But in truth I love writing.

I love coding.

I love blogging.

And software engineering is my great great passion. But I have another huge passion outside of software engineering too - well also music, which I have been playing and writing since I can recall - but also spirituality.

You will catch me going on meditation retreats about twice a year. But outside of those I like to read, meditate and write too about this.

The Zen of Coding is a project - I'm going through the Tao Te Ching - all 81 verses - and applying it to software engineering and what it means to me.

If it works out I might do the Hua Hu Ching too, especially if I can find my actual copy! Nowadays nearly all my books are on Taoism and Non-Duality - as well as an impressive Rumi collection, some Hafiz, and some Christian Mysticism.

But it all leads back to Non-Duality.

A young woman with light skin, blue eyes and blonde hair stairs out from under a dark blue hood and smiles. She is wearing a white top.

I have two other blogs:

Software Engineer Princess: This blog is dedicated to the memory of Alan Turing.

It is an educational blog about software engineering, both about technical skills and about "soft" engineering skills which are most definitely not soft - how to work with others, how to write good documentation and comments, and how to work as a neurodivergent software engineer (which I am!!!).

Susanna Codes: This is a blog I learn more directly into.

Here I might share learning journeys (although more and more frequently they go in the above), I might share plans and revisions to my journey and foci, and I might store plans for future blog posts.

It has followed me from day 1 of learning the frontend to a full-time backend software engineer. My story is there for anyone to read. It also features extensive research on software engineering and renewable energy.

Renewable Energy Princess: The full outcome of this research was published here.
